Built 2-09 This amp is a raw, snarling rock and roll beast. Based on a tweed-style circuit w/SS rectifier and cathode bias. I've been using this amp with my band on and off for a while now and I can tell you it's rock and roll approved and gig ready. Simple and to the point. It's not real big on clean tones, but will clean up nicely if you back off the guitar volume. It really is like an overpowered hot rod, it just wants to scream. A lot of fun to drive! Built 3/08. This is the 35 watt version and is equipped with 3x12AX7
and 2x6L6 tubes. Power transformer is from Hammond and is ridiculously
oversized for this amp. This means that, with a bias adjustment, you
can run any of the 8-pin power tubes. EL34s to 6V6s. Also features dual
bias adjustments and rear panel test points. 35 watt output tranny from
Heyboer. Paint by Michael Charvel of Wayne Guitars.

the Sleeper
Built 2-09 Based on the TopFuel amp, this is
master-volume-style amp scaled down. The amp runs at lower voltages
(420vdc) so it can use 6V6 tubes or the larger 6L6 or EL34s. Dual adjustable
bias and test points in the back allow you to use different power tubes
with a simple rebias. This is one of the loudest 6V6 amps I've ever
built! Cabinet covered in red sparkle tolex. The Sleeper is the one
they don't see coming.
